Professional Biography

Theresa Barthel began teaching middle school students in Salisbury, Maryland after receiving her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Modern Languages from Villanova University.  She returned to school to obtain her Master of Arts degree in ESOL/Bilingualism from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.  After a few years of teaching elementary school ESL students in Baltimore City, she came to Loudoun County in 2000 to continue with ESL at the high school level.  Mrs. Barthel co-sponsors Friends Without Borders and Parents as Educational Partners (PEP).
