Welcome Woodgrove Families, Staff and Students:
When I look back at how many years of effort it took just to break ground on the site for the newest high school in Western Loudoun County, I am simply amazed at the progress and success we have achieved in just 2 years. We covered a lot of uncharted territory, graduated our first senior class and gained a couple of state championships along the path.
We are so fortunate to live in a county where education is a priority, but having terrific new facilities, proximity to a variety of cultural and educational opportunities, all encased in Western Loudoun’s natural beauty does not make a school. What makes a school succeed is the involvement and commitment of the students, parents, faculty and staff that makes up the community, identity, spirit and heart of the institution.
As a Parent/Teacher/Student Organization, we take to heart our mission to serve the school in whatever way we can. If it is creating an outdoor classroom, purchasing a learning program, thanking the staff for the year’s endeavors or funding a field-trip opportunity that is too good to pass up, we are here to “mind the gap,” however that gap manifests itself. I am thankful to be surrounded by a PTSO Board and committee chairs that share the same goals and whose expertise is unparalleled. Please consider joining us on a committee or in a manner that interests you.
Stay informed, stay involved. Please join the Woodgrove PTSO!
