Mrs. Black
 
 
 
 
 

Mrs. Black has been at Algonkian for 11 years. This year she will be a curriculum specialist for fourth and fifth grades. She holds a teaching degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She received her Masters degree in Special Education from George Mason University. Mrs. Black recieved an endorsement in Educational Leadership upon completion of the  LCPS and GMU cohort in Spring 2010. This year she participated in and completed the second Universal Design for Learning (UDL) class through LCPS and GMU. She currently sits on the RI Leadership Team for Algonkian ES.  Mrs. Black has three grown children and a long haired dachshund named Joe Black. She lives with her husband in Sterling.
