Duties of Officers
Section 1: President. The President leads the organization. He/she shall:
a. Preside at all General Meetings of the PTO and of the Executive Committee,
b. Prepare the Agendas for such meetings.
c. Serve as the primary contact for the Principal.
d. Represent the organization at meetings outside the organization
e. Coordinate the work of the other officers and committees in order that the purpose of the organization be served.
f. Communicate with the general membership via monthly newsletters.

Section 2: Vice President. The Vice President shall:
a. Act as aide to the President,
b. Perform the duties of the President when the President is absent, and/or as needed by the President.
c. Record the meeting minutes in the absence of the Secretary.

Section 3: Secretary. The Secretary shall:
a. Maintain an up-to-date roster of the General Membership and of the Executive Committee.
b. Send all notices of General Meetings and their Agendas to the General Membership.
c. Record the minutes of the General Meetings and the Executive Committee meetings.
d. Distribute all meeting minutes to the Executive Committee members.
e. Make available and distribute General Meeting minutes to the General Membership.
f. Keep records of the organization, including, but not limited to, Minutes Book, Agendas, By-Laws, and Standing Rules, and bring them to the meetings.
g. Solicit nominations for election per ARTICLE V.Section 6:.

Section 4: Treasurer. The Treasurer shall:
a. Receive all monies of the organization
b. Keep an accurate record of receipts and disbursements
c. Pay all approved expenses.
d. Present financial statements (aka: “Treasurer’s Reports”) at each General Meeting.
e. Prepare tax returns, SCC annual financial statements, etc. as required by law.
f. Monitor and renew tax-exempt status when applicable.
g. Serve as Point of Contact for the SCC for the corporation when so formed.
h. Prepare the (operational) year-end financial statement for auditing per ARTICLE IX.Section 6:.
