Mrs. Bigler

Mrs. Bigler grew up in a small, steel manufacturing town in Ohio along the Ohio River. As a teenager she played a trumpet in her high school band. She participated in school plays, wrote for her school newspaper, and was an active member in the Spanish Club. Mrs. Bigler graduated from Toronto High School in 1981. She attended The University of Akron where she received a degree in elementary education.

After college graduation, Mrs. Bigler began her teaching career in Loudoun County Virginia. She has taught kindergarten, first, and second grades. After receiving a master’s degree in special education from George Mason University, Mrs. Bigler also spent a year teaching special education. The things that Mrs. Bigler loves the most about teaching at Middleburg Elementary School are the school’s long history and the people and students that she works with.

Mrs. Bigler loves to read, watch movies, spend time with her family, and travel. She is a huge Harry Potter fan. She is excited about beginning a new school year and looking forward to meeting new people.
