I am Silvia E. Gimenez-Krzysko, and I am the ELL teacher for grades 3, 4 and 5. I started working in this wonderful school in 2007!
I was born in Argentina, and I have my Bachelor's degree in English. I also completed undergraduate studies in Spanish and Modern Languages and Literature at the Universidad de Entre Rios in Argentina. I have been working as a teacher for more than 14 years. I worked as a Foreign Language teacher- FLES- for three years before this position.
I love to teach, and I always try my best when I am in front of a class. I usually seek for techniques and strategies to involve students in what they are learning. There are many ways to approach students, and I always try to guide them on the comprehensibility of tests or worksheets, or preparing visually friendly versions of them. Providing students with suplementary materials for a better understanding of topics to be covered in the mainstream classes is key in my teaching. Those students being pulled out from their classrooms are provided with the necessary background instruction to the topic in hand.
I am thrilled to be teaching third, fourth, and fifth grades again here at Rosa Lee Carter!
