School-wide Incentives
All classes at Liberty can work toward earning the Golden Spoon Award and even a fine dining experience! All students can individually work toward receiving a postcard home. Read on to find out how.
Postcard Winners
Students have a chance to work toward a positive note home in the form of a postcard. At the end of each month, teachers also enter to win an award in recognition of their student's behavioral accomplishments. This is a fun way to celebrate the joint success of our students and teachers.
NEW!!! The Golden Plunger
The coveted golden plunger award has just been introduced to Liberty students! In an ongoing effort to help students learn the value of respecting property, we are encouraging some healthy grade level competition (kindergarten through second grade versus third through fifth grade). The goal is for students not only to work to keep the restrooms clean, but also to remind students to use the bathroom for its intended purpose, not as a place to chat or practice dance routines. Based largely on custodial reports, the winning grade levels have the honor of recieving the golden plunger. The golden plunger will make its rounds through the winning classrooms, so all the victors can revel in the sight of their golden and bedazzled tropy! Classroom teachers can decide on an individual basis whether additional eagles can be earned as additional means of positive reinforcement.

Golden Spoons
Golden Spoons can be won on a daily basis! Different colored cones (red, green, and yellow) are placed on students’ tables based on the type of behavior that students are seen by the hostesses to be exhibiting in the cafeteria. Green cones demonstrate exemplary cafteria behavior. If students have earned a green cone (or are "on green" as we say) by the end of their lunch period, they can earn a Golden Spoon.
Classroom teachers earn one raffle ticket for ever Golden Spoon that is earned by their students. These raffle tickets are then entered into a monthly drawing. Two tickets will be pulled out, corresponding to two classes who earn Fine Dining Day. On this special day, these classes get to dine in high style! Students winning this award get to sit with an administrator of their choice, they dine at a table covered in a tablecloth, and they get to enjoy a special dessert. The more Golden Spoons a class has earned, the greater the chance that the class will be picked in the raffle!
Congratulations to our November Fine Dining winners: Ms. Pickering's First Grade class and Ms. Pelak's Fourth Grade Class!!
