School-Community Liaison:
  • Wrap Around Services: serve as the school liaison with community resources to provide extensive, coordinated services for high risk students and families.
  • Interagency Collaboration: represent LCPS on the Gang Resistance and Intervention Team, Domestic Violence Steering Committee, Loudoun Domestic Abuse Response Team, Promoting Safe and Stable Families, Youth Initiative Subcommittees, the Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative, Child Protection Team, Foster Care Liaison. They work in partnership with Loudoun County Mental Health Prevention, Outreach, and Substance Abuse Treatment Services to provide a continuum of care for students experiencing difficulties with social/emotional issues and/or substance abuse.
  • Community That Cares Survey: coordinate and assist in proctoring a research-based survey conducted every two years to determine the level of risk and protective factors and substance abuse among youth in Loudoun County. Analyze the data to develop a community needs assessment to enhance service delivery.
