Staff Appreciation Week: THANK YOUThe PTA once again hosted Staff Appreciation Week at Harmony, from May 6th until May 10th.This year's theme was: Like Flowers in a Garden, we've Bloomed in your CareO - M - GoshOur goal was to show the Teachers and Staff of Harmony Middle how much we appreciated all their hard work during the year. We had snack bags, and food, and prizes and themed baskets, and a luncheon, and oh so much more. We couldn't have done it without the help of all the fabulous parents who volunteered their time to make and buy goodies and decorate and set up for Teacher Appreciation Week. The whole week was fabulous and the staff were so appreciative of the week that we gave them. We had some fabulous businesses around the area who donated a gift or gift card that we used for prizes to raffle off during announcements. Everyone feels special winning a prize, and we thank these businesses for helping add to the fun: Jersey Mike's Subs, Coach's Corner, Tropical Smoothie, Harris Teeter, Candyville Sweets, Twigs, Affordable Sheds & Garden Products, Subway, and Yogatime Studio.Parents, be sure to patronize these businesses and thank them for their donations. These door prizes were a great asset for the week.Thank you ALL for everything that you did. Our goal was met and now, we have the level to set, or exceed, for NEXT YEAR!!

Support Harmony's Odyssey of the Mind Team Help Our Odyssey of the Mind Team Get to the World Finals!
Harmony's Odyssey of the Mind team has qualified for the World Finals! Way to go!
Now all they need to do is raise the money to get there. The World Finals will be held in Michigan.
Harmony's PTA and SCA have pledged funds to help cover the cost.
The Odyssey team needs your help to get the team the rest of the way.
They will be having several "Spirit Nights" at Purcellville businesses who have pledged to donate a percentage of the profits from that night's sales.
In order to make sure the Odyssey team receives the proceeds, you must tell the cashier or waitress that you are from Harmony!
Come out and support the team!

KFC/Taco Bell: April 30 (4-8 pm)
Tropical Smoothy Cafe: May 3 (5-8 pm)
Coach's Corner: May 7 (all day)
Jersey Mike's: May 14 (4:30-9pm)
School Supplies for 2013-2014: School Box Express
Deadline for ordering packs is Friday, May 24!
Make your school supply shopping for next year easy.
Once again Harmony and the PTA is hosting School Box Express, offering parents and students the option of ordering their supplies in advance.
Paper orders using the order form can be sent in until May 24!Online orders will begin on April 29, and will run until May 24!
FREE SCHOOL SUPPLY PACK: Register Online by May 24 for a chance to win a FREE School Supply Pack.There will be a drawing at each school on May 30.
Trex Recycling Challenge
At last count, the school had collected 130,200 bags!!!
The school's goal was to collect 100,000 bags!!! WAY TO GO HARMONY!!!
As a school, we will receive a birdhouse for participating. Also, the winning school in our area will receive a bench (would look GREAT in our courtyard or for an addition to an outdoor classroom).
