Mr. David Shaffer, Assistant Principal
Over the past 13 years, I have had the privilege to work for Loudoun County Public Schools as a teacher, dean and assistant principal. In 2004, I left the elementary setting and became one of the original charter members of Smart’s Mill Middle School. It has been a pleasure to serve the Leesburg community as an assistant principal for Smart's Mill Middle School, a "National Schools to Watch." http://www.schoolstowatch.org/
In 2001, I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and Sports Management/Business from Cedarville University. In 2006, I received a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Shenandoah University. On a personal note, I live in Ashburn, Virginia with my beautiful wife, Rebekah. We have three children - Braydon, Andrew & Evelyn! In addition to spending time at school and with my family, I love basketball, football, golf, traveling, and watching the Washington Redskins and North Carolina Tarheels!
