Here is what you should remember…At some point in your life, if not already, you will likely know someone or have a family member with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Autism is not contagious…you can’t catch it.
You may not always know someone has Autism Spectrum Disorder because they may be very high functioning and have what we call Asperger’s Syndrome. Regardless of all these things, the most important thing to remember is to be accepting and patient of, as well as kind to all people because you never know their whole story!

What is Electronic Waste, also known as e-waste? E-waste is all and any electronics that are thrown away. When such electronics are not disposed of properly, they are shipped to third world countries where they are broken down for their precious metals. These processes, which are not done safely, are harmful to people as well as the environment. You can help so many people by just recycling your electronics to a trusted facility. Electronics can be properly disposed of at specialized electronic waste plants. Disposing your electronics there will reduce the detrimental effects on people around the world. Stone Hill MS Spectrum students will be coordinating an E-Waste collection drive this Spring. More information and collection dates will be sent out soon.

Journalist Ann Curry recently asked "What if" and has started a viral campaign -26 Acts- to spread hope and goodwill. Let's see how much kindness we can spread throughout our community. Here's how it works: Perform a random act of kindness --big or small-- for someone and write your good deed and name on a post-in note. Then, place your note on the "Acts of Kindness" banner located in the cafeteria. The banner will be up through January.
