Mrs. Rueckert - Principal / Principal's Welcome

About Mrs. Rueckert

Mrs. Rueckert is in her ninth year as an administrator serving the Catoctin Elementary community, and her fourteenth year as an administrator for children in public schools. She brings a wealth of experience in both elementary and middle school levels in education and leadership. Prior to starting a family in 2007, she prepared students attending West Virginia University for the challenges of the education world through teaching graduate level course work to those seeking Master's Degrees. This was something Mrs. Rueckert enjoyed very much as she was able to share her passion for teaching.

On weekends you most likely will find her spending time with her family or reading into the week hours of the night. Sometimes she squeezes in research for her dissertation, or will be sitting among other sports fans supporting the West Virginia University Mountaineers, "Let's go Mounties!"

Mrs. Rueckert is a lifelong learner, and truly loves school! Teaching children to read well and think critically in order to function in the world are elements she believes are important to teach children.
