MUSIC COURSE SYLLABUS
The Loudoun County elementary music curriculum consists of a well-planned sequence of developmentally appropriate experiences leading to clearly defined skills and knowledge. The program is designed to actively involve students of all learning modalities using materials carefully selected for their aesthetic value.
Students in grades one through five participate in music class twice a week. The fourth and fifth grade students study the recorder. The music department prepares a Veterans Day program in which the entire student body participates. The first, third and fifth grades each perform a grade level program.
