Mrs. Jennifer Scott comes to Lowes Island Elementary School from Prince William County Schools with a background in special education and instructional leadership. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from James Madison University in 1999, and taught eighth grade students with Learning Disabilities in Augusta County at Beverley Manor Middle School for one year prior to moving back to the Northern Virginia area. Mrs. Scott spent the next six years as an eighth grade teacher to students with Learning Disabilities and Emotional Disturbances at Woodbridge Middle School in Prince William County where she also served as the Special Education Department Chair. In 2006, Mrs. Scott earned her Master’s Degree from George Washington University in Education Administration and Supervision. She spent the next three years at Bel Air Elementary School as the Instructional Consultation Team Facilitator, working with teachers to improve their instructional practices in order to meet the needs of every student in their classroom. Mrs. Scott is excited to work with the students, staff, and families of the Lowes Island Elementary School community!
