Welcome to the English Language Learners (ELL) Program at Lucketts Elementary
The ELL program includes the following components:
ELL Kindergarten:
The ELL kindergarten program is a half day program held in a self-contained classroom. It is designed to help increase student vocabulary as well as compliment and reinforce skills learned in the kindergarten classroom. ELL kindergarten students eat lunch at school and then attend their kindergarten class in the afternoon.
ELL First-Fifth Grade:
ELL students in first through fifth grades will receive either push-in or pull-out ELL services depending on their level and needs. With push-in services, the ELL teacher or assistant works with the student in the grade level classroom to provide support with activities, assignments, and projects. With Pull-out services, the ELL teacher or assistant works with the student in the ELL classroom to provide intensive English language instruction and language support with content area subjects.
