First and Second Grade
Welcome to a new school year. I am excited about and looking forward to working with your children. Here are some informational items that you should know about this school year.
 
Look for your child to bring home a reading/homework folder Monday through Thursday. It will have your child's required reading homework and should be returned the next day. Please sign the book log and make sure it is returned to your child's backpack. This will begin the second week of school.
 
Each Friday your child will bring home their Friday folder. It will contain papers from the week, an update of the following week, and a comment sheet for you to sign. Please return this folder on Monday morning.
 
Communication between us is very important to me. Please call me at home (540) 955-0435 or at school (540) 751-2490 if you ever have any questions or concerns.
 
Again I am looking forward to another fantastic year here at Middleburg Elementary School.

Second grade students are encouraged to logon to the online Reflex math program at home. Each student has a unique login. This information was sent home with the students. [First graders will begin this porgram after the semester break.]

Instructions: After loading the Reflex home page you MUST click "Launch" in the upper right hand corner of the page. The student username is jbigler. The password is their 4 digit birthday code. Example: User Name: jbigler, Password: 0406 (April 6).
