Hi! My name is Margaret Stine and I am the art teacher for Liberty! For 9 years I taught art in Fauquier County at Pierce Elementary. I attended Old Dominion University with a concentration in sculpture. I moved from Norfolk, where I grew up, to Northern VA to begin my teaching career. I have also continued my education through James Madison University, Virginia Commomwealth University and the Maryland Institute College of Art where I studied painting abroad in Sorrento, Italy. I continue to take art classes and paint outside of school as I believe we never stop learning and growing!
Hello! My name is Michelle Minkin and I will be teaching art at Liberty this school year. I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in May of 2011 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree and my teaching license in art education. This year will be my second year working for Loudoun County Public Schools. Last year I was a long term substitute art teacher at Riverbend Middle School and Creighton’s Corner Elementary School. I also substituted at some of Loudoun County’s wonderful elementary schools and high schools in general education classrooms and special education classrooms. This summer, I had the pleasure of working at Loudoun county’s Summer in the Arts program teaching sculpture. In my free time, I enjoy hiking Virginia’s beautiful trails, cooking, oil painting, and visiting Northern Virginia’s and Washington DC’s museums and galleries. I am looking forward to a fantastic school year!
