Welcome Message
My name is Monica Kissel and as Assistant Principal of Steuart Weller Elementary School, I am very excited to be a part of the Weller Wild Cat community. Previously, I was a special education teacher in Loudoun County Public Schools. I also had the privilege of being a charter staff member of the Steuart Weller Elementary Wild Cat team the first year we opened in August 2008. Most recently, I was a Consulting Teacher with the Office of Special Education.
It is with great pleasure that I have the opportunity to be a part of the Weller Wild Cat school community again. It is my goal, as a leader, to facilitate a school environment where every student is successful every day they step through the front door of Steuart Weller Elementary School. Our school’s namesake, Steuart W. Weller, embodied true leadership in volunteering with children throughout the county. Here at Steuart Weller Elementary School, we focus on setting high, consistent expectations for students to promote active engagement through a rigorous curriculum to enable our students to be future leaders. We believe in fostering open communication that celebrates the diversity of students, staff and parents in collaborative settings. Every child, staff member, and parent has something special and unique to bring to Steuart Weller Elementary School. For this reason Weller Wild Cats are:
Each Unique...All One Family
