The English Language Learner Program focuses on four components of language: listening, speaking, reading and writing in English. Limited English proficient students are a diverse group of children who enter our program with a wide range of home language and English skills. Student growth in the  ELL program depends upon a number of factors; speaking opportunities with peers, individual instruction specifically in the areas of reading and writing, commitment on the part of the learner to 'follow through' with homework assignments and most of all, teacher responsibility to create fun, engaging learning experiences!
