Join LCPS Superintendent Dr. Aaron Spence for the Student Success Talks, a unique opportunity for families, staff and community members to engage in meaningful conversations about supporting student success. These talks will be held across all eight election districts between November 2024 and May 2025, offering insights, resources and actionable tips to help students thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
What to Expect: Each session will cover a range of topics, including:
ParentVUE and Other Tools: Learn how to effectively use tools like ParentVUE to stay informed about your child’s academic progress.
Assessments and Testing: Get clarity on assessments and standardized testing and how they impact student success.
Family Involvement, Advocacy and Guidance: Understand how to navigate the school system, advocate for your child and who to turn to for support.
College and Career Readiness: Receive important information about graduation requirements, course selection and resources like FAFSA to help students prepare for life after high school.
Mental Health and Well-Being: Explore strategies for supporting students’ mental health and emotional well-being.
Each Student Success Talk is designed to foster collaboration between families, staff and the Superintendent, creating a supportive community dedicated to student success.
