Advocate, Collaborate, Empower!

Guidance

EMES School Counselors

The mission of the Evergreen Mill Elementary School Counseling Program is to provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program, which advocates for policies and practices that enhance the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students.  This is accomplished through classroom guidance, small group, and individual counseling and by other casual daily interactions.  By promoting collaboration among educators, parents or guardians, and the community; school counselors provide leadership which helps facilitate a safe, supportive and challenging learning environment and empowers students with the confidence to work cooperatively and respectfully with others, to achieve academic success, and to become responsible, critical thinkers and productive citizens of an ever-changing society.  Guidance services are inclusive and respectful of student and staff differences in gender, religion, ethnicity, race, ability, handicapping, condition and age.
