"Our new and returning teachers are so excited about the 2012-2013  school year! As we enter our 51st year as a high school in our community, our SCA is expecting this to be an "ExtraOrdinary Year" !
I challenge each of us to find our greatness, as we work to guide our students to find their greatness.

"We have so much going on in our school community!  From our global awareness initiatives to our school based community service projects, we are a school focused on service, citizenship, integrity, and excellence.  Our culture is a culture of learning - learning for everyone including students, teachers, staff, administrators, and parents - whatever it takes.

"We are focusing on the gains in learning for each individual student. Collectively these gains continue to contribute to our high performance across the board and serve to earn us high recognition marks as a high school. We strive to ensure that each and every student is learning to his/her full potential.

"We believe in continuous improvement and we work together daily using a collaborative model at Valley. We are proud of our combination of creative innovations and our rich and outstanding academic and extracurricular traditions.

"I look forward to another great year of continuing to serve our Valley students, faculty, parents, and community."
