TECHNOLOGY NEWS!!

The iPads have arrived! This year the SRMS Library received a grant from the Loudoun Education Foundation (LEF) to fund a proposal for an interdisciplinary project using iPads. With funds from this grant and funds raised through the Scholastic Book Fair, the library purchased new iPads and accessories for library and classroom use. In addition to the video, camera, FaceTime, eBooks, and other innovative iPad features, the SRMS Library iPads are downloaded with a variety of educational apps that can be used for collaborative teaching in the classroom. We also have the adapters which allow the iPad screens to be projected onto the classroom Promethean boards.

Library Hours:

Monday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 am - 3:30 pm

Tuesday, Wednesday 8:00 am - 4:15 pm *

*Students need a permission slip to stay for the afterschool.

Circulation policy:

The Seneca Ridge Middle Library offers students a quiet environment in which to pursue book selection, research and library related activities. Student id numbers are used to check out books.

Students may check out up to three books. Books are checked out for a two week period. Books may be renewed, but must be present for renewal. During their weekly checkout time with their language arts/English teacher, students with overdue books will be notified. If any book is overdue, nothing else can be checked out until that item is returned. Reference materials and audio visual items are not available for student checkout.
