Welcome to the Catoctin Elementary Library!

Leslie Robertson, Library Media Specialist
Peggy Moats, Library Assistant
571-252-2940

We call ourselves the "Library Ladies" and we work in the library to help you find the materials you need for research and the books that you can't wait to read.

Mrs. Robertson was a choral music teacher for 8 years and an algebra teacher for 15 years in a middle school in Frederick County, Virginia. After earning another degree, she became the librarian at Catoctin and is starting her fifteenth year. She earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in Winchester, Virginia, a Master of Music Education degree from George Peabody College for Teachers (now part of Vanderbilt University) in Nashville, Tennessee, and a Master of Education with a Concentration in Library Science degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The education of children has been a 38-year pursuit so far and watching and helping students to enjoy reading and achieving is still an exciting adventure.

After 22 years of fine service to the students and teachers of Catoctin Elementary School, Mrs. Legard retired at the end of the 2011-2012 year as the Library Assistant. We hope you enjoy your retirement, Mrs. Legard. You will be greatly missed!

We are happy to introduce Mrs. Peggy Moats as our new Library Assistant. Mrs. Moats is one of our former Catoctin parents. She has also worked as the Parent Liaison at Loudoun County High School and more recently as the assistant in Mrs. Fausset's class here at Catoctin.

Our library will be open from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM each day. Students may exchange materials in the morning, afternoon, or when their classes come to the library each week.

We hope you'll visit us soon and often.
 See you at the library!!
