The 2011-12 school year will mark my 34th year in the field of education with this being my 4th year as an Assistant Principal. My professional career includes two years of teaching Special Education students grades K-6 in Philadelphia, over 20 years teaching in Loudoun County Public Schools, and three years as a Special Education Consulting Teacher. I have taught at Douglass Elementary School, Leesburg Elementary, Rolling Ridge, Little River Elementary, and Belmont Station. As a Special Education Consulting Teacher, I have served teachers in the Sterling Clusters.
My professional training includes an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. I continued my education with a dual major in Elementary Education and Special Education and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Maryland, College Park. After many years of teaching, I pursued a degree in Educational Leadership and acquired a Master’s Degree from Shenandoah University.
I am honored and feel privileged to be part of the Sugarland Community. I look forward to optimizing students’ academic experiences by establishing a collaborative relationship with the staff and school community to cultivate and deliver enhanced educational practices.
