Student Yearbook Staff participating in One LCPS Celebration Day

Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) celebrated the 3rd Annual One LCPS Celebration Day on Thursday, October 15. Superintendent Dr. Aaron Spence created the day to honor the entire school community for all they do to make LCPS such a special place to learn, work, belong and grow.

“Every day, across our 100 schools and throughout our community, incredible things are happening because of the people who are part of the LCPS Team,” said LCPS Superintendent Dr. Aaron Spence. “One LCPS Celebration Day is an opportunity to pause, recognize one another and celebrate the energy, creativity and commitment that make this division such a special place to learn, work and grow. I am grateful for our students, staff, families and community partners, and proud of all we accomplish together.”

With 100 schools, nearly 78,000 students, thousands of dedicated employees and countless families and community partners, there is certainly a lot to celebrate! LCPS is a leader not only in Northern Virginia but across the US. Check out the 2026 LCPS Innovation & Achievement Report: Student Voice, Belonging and Achievement in LCPS to learn more.

“One LCPS reflects the shared commitment of an entire community working together to create opportunities for every student,” said Board Chair April Chandler. “From the classrooms and school offices to the families and community organizations that support our schools, each person plays an important role in our collective success. One LCPS Celebration Day reminds us that our greatest accomplishments are made possible by the people behind them.”

As part of the festivities, LCPS schools and departments were encouraged to share their most creative and inspiring photographs as part of a division-wide contest. More than 70 schools and facilities participated, submitting over 500 photos showcasing the spirit and dedication that define LCPS.
