(4/11/24) CTE & IB Primary Resource Recommendations
LCPS Department of Teaching & Learning has recommended primary content print and digital resources for Career & Technical Education and International Baccalaureate programs to the Loudoun County School Board.
The public and staff are invited to review and comment on the complete list of recommendations. The resources, links and additional information can be found at Textbook Adoption.
The Public review and comment window is open through April 22, 2024.

(2/8/24) Review of HMH'S Into Reading for Grades 3-5
The Department of Teaching and Learning’s Office for Early Literacy, Elementary Reading and Writing*** invites LCPS families to participate in a local review of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) Into Reading for grades 3, 4 and 5. Physical materials for HMH Into Reading are available for review at all LCPS elementary schools as well as at the LCPS Administration Building, located at 21000 Education Court, Ashburn, VA 20148.
Resources are available for review and public comment until February 23, 2024. The Administration Building is accessible for reviewers Monday through Friday evenings from 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. As a reminder, you will need identification to enter the Administration Building.
Additionally, materials for HMH Into Reading for grades 3-5 are available for digital review. LCPS families can access the digital resources by visiting Textbook Adoption. Once on the site, resources are available through the “LCPS 3-5 Literacy Primary Resource Review & Adoption” link. The LCPS School Board will vote to approve HMH Into Reading for grades 3-5 at the February 27, 2024 board meeting.
Community input throughout this process on instructional materials is valuable. A Google form is available to collect feedback and insight from the community. If reviewing materials in person, provide feedback via the QR code at the materials tables. The feedback link is on the Textbook Webpage for those reviewing materials digitally.

(9/26/23) Review of K-2 Literacy Materials Available
The Department of Teaching and Learning’s Office for Early Literacy, Elementary Reading and Writing*** invites LCPS families to participate in a local review of Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) approved curriculum resources for grades K-2. Physical materials for all eight (8) VDOE-approved resources are available for review at the LCPS Administration Building, located at 21000 Education Court, Ashburn, VA 20148.
Resources are available for review and public comment until November 16, 2023. The Administration Building is accessible for reviewers Monday through Friday evenings from 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. As a reminder, you will need identification to enter the Administration Building.
