About
Purpose
LCPS BEAM Summer Math Discovery is a summer program run by Loudoun County Public Schools supported by grant and local funders (shown on the bottom of the page). Students spend five weeks problem solving and engaging in many topics of mathematics. Our purpose is to challenge students and introduce them to advanced mathematics as they become thinkers and doers of mathematics. This program was developed with support from Bridge to Enter Advanced Mathematics (BEAM). In the summer of 2023, 108 7th graders and 54 8th graders participated in the LCPS BEAM Summer Math Discovery program. We look forward to inviting a new group of rising 7th graders and returning the 108 rising 8th graders to the 2024 LCPS BEAM Summer Math Discovery Program.
