Welcome Center Appointment

Your appointment at the Welcome Center will consist of all or some of the following services, depending on your unique situation:

  • Registration, if Welcome Center supports your zoned school

  • Student interview to gather information about the student's social and academic history, including:

    • Previous school enrollment and experiences

    • Academic interests, preferences, and career goals

    • LCPS graduation requirements and program options

    • Grade placement

    • Hobbies and extracurricular interests

    • Family and home experience

  • International transcript review, if necessary

  • Information on student's school and LCPS programs

  • Information on community resources

  • Activation of ParentVUE account, if necessary

  • Screening to determine eligibility for LIEP (Language Instruction Educational Program) services, if necessary

  • Additional assessments, as needed
