What is Work-Based Learning?

Work-Based Learning (WBL) within LCPS Career, Technical, and Adult Education (CTAE) connects classroom instruction with real-world experiences through partnerships with businesses and community organizations.

WBL offers paid or unpaid opportunities like guest speakers, job shadowing, internships, apprenticeships, and hands-on learning projects,  fostering career exploration, skill development, and professional networking.

With guidance from educators and employers, WBL helps students develop essential skills, identify career pathways, and prepare for success in education, employment, and life.
