LCPS Flu Shot Clinics

Flu shots are FREE to all employees, retirees and substitute employees.  Dependents covered by an LCPS Cigna medical plan can also get a free flu shot. Non-covered family members can get their flu shot for a $36 fee. Badges are REQUIRED for employees and retirees and substitute employees will be verified.  Family members must show their Cigna medical card for a free flu shot or can pay the fee. 

  • Weekday flu shot clinics are walk-in and no appointment is required.  Appointments are required for the Saturday Flu Shot Clinic.*

  • LCPS badge (preferred) or driver's license is required for entry to LCPS facilities.

    Dependents must be accompanied by an employee/retiree. 

  • Flu shots will be administered by Inova-employed nurses. 

  • A consent form will be provided to you at the clinic.  No need to complete in advance. 

  • Minors must be accompanied by an adult who can sign the consent form. 

  • The flu shot is inactive.

  • Flu shots are available to anyone over the age of 4, including pregnant women (a doctor’s note is not required).

  • Family members not covered by the LCPS Cigna medical plan will be charged $36.00 per shot. Inova will accept all credit cards, cash or check as payment for services rendered to family members.  Please have checks filled out in advance, payable to INOVA Well.

  • If you are unable to attend an LCPS flu shot clinic, you can get your free annual flu shot from your doctor or at a Cigna participating pharmacy by showing your Cigna medical card or an Express Scripts participating pharmacy by showing your Express Scripts prescription card.  

*Special Instructions for Saturday Clinic: 

  • Appointments are required for Saturday flu shot clinic. Each person needs a separate appointment. Make your appointment through this link  https://InovaWellImmunizations.as.me/LCPSAdmin2024.  

  • You will receive a confirmation email from Inova once you schedule.  Check your junk email folder if you don't see it.

  • Instructions for canceling or rescheduling will be in the confirmation email, if needed. 

  • Paperwork will be provided at the clinic.  No need to complete it in advance.  Minors must be accompanied by an adult. 

  • If you are bringing family members, each person must have their own appointment.

The influenza vaccines administered at the LCPS flu shot clinics this year are made to protect against the viruses that research suggests will be most common. For 2024-2025, the egg-based vaccines are recommended to contain:

  • an A/Victoria/4897/2022 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus;

  • an A/Thailand/8/2022 (H3N2)-like virus; and

  • a B/Austria/1359417/2021 (B/Victoria lineage)-like virus.
