VRS & LCPS Information Sessions
Congratulations! You are either thinking about retirement or have made the decision to retire! While this is a very exciting time, we recognize that not knowing exactly what to do can be overwhelming. So, we have provided helpful information below to assist you with this process.
We have partnered with VRS to make sure you have information about your eligibility for retirement benefits and what you need to do next. We will be hosting LIVE virtual webinar sessions each month that you should attend to get started and get your questions answered. In combination, the two sessions below provide you with all the details you need to get started with your retirement planning.
Session 1: Retirement: Are you Ready to Retire?
This session will guide you through important decisions such as when to retire and selecting a benefit payout option. This session will demonstrate using myVRS to plan for retirement and review LCPS retirement benefits. This is the first session you should attend.

This session is for employees who have already attended the “Are You Ready to Retire?” session (recorded versions are available) and are within four months of retirement. This session will guide you through the VRS and LCPS retirement application process.

More information about your VRS benefits can be found on the VRS website at Website. Click on myVRS to log into your individual account.
VRS Counselors are also available to meet with you about your retirement options. Call VRS at 1-888-827-3847 to schedule an appointment or ask questions.
