Bella Chen, an eighth-grade student at River Bend Middle School, has been selected as a 2025 Carson Scholar, making her the only student in Loudoun County to receive this prestigious recognition this year.
The Carson Scholars Program recognizes and rewards outstanding students across the United States who exemplify academic excellence and humanitarian qualities. The program aims to inspire a commitment to education and community service while fostering a lifelong dedication to making a difference. In addition to a $1,000 college scholarship, Carson Scholars are honored for their leadership, character and contributions to their communities.
Bella was nominated by her Civics teacher, Mr. Snyder, whose support, along with the encouragement of Dr. DiCarlo, played a key role in her achievement.
By earning this honor, Bella continues to set a strong example for her peers and represents the highest standards of academic achievement and community service at River Bend Middle School.
