Summer is a great time to sharpen skills with engaging reading and math experiences, enrichment opportunities and college preparations.  Varsity Tutors for Schools offers comprehensive resources that can help set the stage for success in school and beyond!

Students can access, explore and dive into learning over the summer break and during the school year. This service is FREE until June 2030!

Hands-On Math Lab:
Math is all around us! Varsity Tutors Hands-On Math Lab's weekly class uses household items to explore math interactively. Each adventurous session explores different mysteries that make math topics visual and memorable.

Summer Scholars:
Looking for ways to avoid summer learning loss? Varsity Tutors classes offer free options that help avoid a "summer slide!" Classes that help bridge the gap in skills like math and reading, fun celebrity-led StarCourses, and interactive sessions with live tutors provide plenty to explore and keep students engaged in learning over the summer break.

Codeverse:
Are you interested in experimenting with ideas for something cool or useful? Do you want to create the next big app or video game? Learn how to code to bring your ideas to life with coding languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, and HTML. You can also learn how your favorite games, like Pong, Pac-Man, Frogger, and Fortnite, were designed and coded. In VarsityTutors Codeverse, you’ll design, create, and play your games!

College Prep:
Are you thinking about college and unlocking scholarship opportunities? The Varsity Tutors platform supports SAT and ACT preparation with live, instructor-led classes, self-paced classes and practice problems. Learn about college application and admissions strategies and craft a compelling application essay. 

24/7 Chat with a Live Tutor

Through the Virginia Department of Education’s All In VA plan, LCPS offers tutoring to all LCPS students through two means.
 
First, schools have identified some students in grades 3-5 or 6-8 to receive high-dose tutoring that supports the student's specific needs. This individualized tutoring may occur during the school day or after school. Part-time hourly tutors, high school students, community volunteers or site-assigned tutors through University Instructors will provide the tutoring at the school.
 
Secondly, LCPS offers free, on-demand tutoring through Varsity Tutors to all kindergarten through grade 12 students. This resource varies from school tutoring. The free Varsity Tutors program provides homework help, writing support and live enrichment sessions available 24 hours per day/7 days per week in a wide variety of subjects, including math, science, writing and more. Parents/guardians can contact Varsity Tutors to learn more about all the available services. All classes are English only.
