Dr. Marc Bergin serves as Chief of Staff. Dr. Bergin has a distinguished career as an educator and school administrator. He began his career as an elementary school teacher first in Indiana and then in Albemarle County, Virginia. He has served as the principal for schools in Prince William, Spotsylvania and Augusta counties. He also served as the Chief of Staff for Virginia Beach City Public Schools. Most recently he was the Superintendent of Bedford County Public Schools. Dr. Bergin has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame in English Literature, a master’s degree in Elementary Education from Butler University and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington.
