Access to LCPS resources is blocked for students who are traveling outside the United States of America. In order to maintain access to LCPS resources, families can specify the travel start and end dates for the student in ParentVUE. Travel start and end dates must be entered for each child who will be traveling out of the country. It can take up to 24 hours for updates to take effect.

Entering travel dates for a student DOES NOT substitute for submitting absences via ParentVUE or another tool used for absence reporting. You must notify your school of your child's absences.
Accessing LCPS resources while out of the country does not equate to being physically in school. The student traveling out of the country will be marked absent (excused or unexcused) and will be withdrawn upon the accrual of 15 consecutive absences per LCPS attendance policies and VA state code 8VAC20-110-130.

ParentVUE Mobile App:

Log into the ParentVUE mobile app.
Tap the photo of the student who will be traveling out of the country.
Tap the Student Info menu.
Tap the Edit Information button.
Enter the start and end dates for the student’s trip.
Tap Save Changes.
Repeat for any other child who will be traveling out of the country.

ParentVUE Web Version:

Log into ParentVUE at https://portal.lcps.org using a web browser.
Select the child who will be traveling out of the country.
Click the Student Info menu.
Scroll down to the Student Travel Exclusion section.
Enter the travel start and end dates.
Save.
Repeat for any other child who will be traveling out of the country.
