Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) has expanded its Middle School Intramural Sports Program to all 18 middle schools for the 2024-25 school year! The expansion and its design, which is an extension of the school day, reinforces leadership qualities, teamwork, respect, integrity, and a sense of accomplishment through fun and competitive sports activities.

The intramural program is open to all middle school students, regardless of skill level. No prior sports experience is necessary, making this an inclusive opportunity for all students to participate and enjoy the benefits of team sports.

Sports Breakdown:

Middle schools are offering a variety of sports throughout the school year, allowing students to engage in multiple activities. The sports and their respective seasons are as follows:

  • First Quarter (Season One): 7-on-7 Flag Football

  • Second Quarter (Season Two): 6-on-6 Volleyball

  • Third Quarter (Season Three): 3-on-3 Basketball

  • Fourth Quarter (Season Four): 7-on-7 Soccer

Teams can be co-ed or single-gender, based on participant preferences, providing flexibility and inclusivity in team formation.
