Freedom High School, Loudoun County High School, and Loudoun Valley High School received the 2024 Cognia School of Distinction Award. These three schools are among 60 schools and school systems to receive this recognition this year.
This award recognizes schools and school systems that exemplify excellence in education, as demonstrated in meeting the Cognia Performance Standards, which are based on research and an understanding of learning. Once an institution is accredited, it engages in similar preparation and review every six years to maintain that designation.
Cognia is a global, nonprofit improvement organization dedicated to helping institutions and other education providers grow learners, teachers and leaders. Serving 36,000 public and private institutions from early learning through high school in more than 85 countries, Cognia brings a global perspective to advancing teaching and learning.
