Work Session
Department of Support Services: FY 2026 – FY 2031 FY 2026 Capital Budget Priorities of the School Board. Staff will begin FY 2026 capital budget discussions with the School Board, seeking feedback on specific initiatives.
The Division of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility provided an update on their recent initiatives and ongoing efforts within LCPS.

Highlights of the report include:
LCPS hosted a roundtable event with regional leaders to discuss a Recovery School.
The Mobile Health Clinic received a commendation from the Virginia House of Delegates.
57 LCPS students named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists.

Action Items
The Board addressed six action items:
The School Board denied the staff-recommended revisions of Policy 6350, Wireless Network Facility Colocation, as amended by the Finance & Operations Committee.
The School Board approved the Hillsboro Charter Academy Lease Renewal.
The School Board approved the annual update to the School Board's Legislative Program for 2025.
The School Board approved Policy-3410, Office of the Auditor General.
The School Board approved Policy 2610, Loudoun County School Board Aides.
The School Board approved amending the motion approving the meeting calendar for the FY 2026 capital budgets and an Eastern Loudoun elementary school attendance zone change process adopted at its August 13, 2024, meeting, by replacing the adopted calendar with the revised calendar as shown on the attached School Board Meeting Calendars (strikethrough and clean), dated September 24, 2024.
