Advisory Committee Update
The Loudoun Education Foundation (LEF) provided the School Board with an update on achievements and initiatives made since the last update on January 30, 2024.
Work Session
Staff from the Department of Teaching and Learning presented the results of the Curriculum Audit conducted by Insight Education Group. The presentation included division-wide recommendations and the Department's action plan for addressing them.

Pledge of Allegiance
The Pledge of Allegiance was performed by Stephanie Swift, a Music Teacher at Dominion Trail Elementary School.
Student/Staff Recognitions
The Department of Communications and Community Engagement, with the School Business Partnership Executive Council, presented the 2024-2025 Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) Business Honor Roll nominees from Loudoun County Public Schools.

Superintendent’s Report
Highlights of the report include:
The LCPS Annual Family Survey was opened on February 24.
LCHS students participated in a Polar Plunge to raise funds for Special Olympics.
LCPS hosted an appreciation event to honor Job for a Day businesses and organizations.

Action Items
The Board addressed five action items:
The School Board approved revised Policy 8230, Procedures for Student Disciplinary Appeals to the School Board.
The School Board approved amended revisions to Policy 5345, Restraint and Seclusion of Students.
The School Board approved revised Policy 8235, Weapons.
The School Board selected Calendar Option 1 for the 2026-2027 School Year.
The School Board reviewed and approved the ACCESS Academy Operational Agreement.

The School Board discussed potential revisions to Policy 6340, Disposal of Surplus Personal Property.
The School Board discussed proposed Policy 6460, Buildings and Ground Management and Maintenance, a new policy based on the guidance of the VSBA.

The School Board then adjourned into a Closed Session.
