Bullying Prevention

Loudoun County Public Schools have implemented a county wide bullying prevention program from Second Step. School Counselors will implement these lessons for all students in K-5. The Second Step curriculum teaches students to:

  • Recognize Bullying

  • Report Bullying

  • Refuse Bullying

  • Bystander Power 

  • Emotional Management 

  • Empathy

  • Assertiveness 

  • Problem Solving Skills

Bullying is behavior that is:

  • Repeated

  • Intentional 

  • Has an imbalance of power
