The Accelerated College and Employability Skills (ACCESS) Academy is an innovative partnership between George Mason University’s College of Education and Human Development, Loudoun County Public Schools, and Northern Virginia Community College. Based in Northern Virginia, the Academy serves students in grades 9th -12th across the Commonwealth.

ACCESS Academy offers an alternative educational path that prepares students for future-ready careers through a blend of:

• Innovative, problem-based learning: Solve real-world challenges designed with industry input, building critical thinking and teamwork skills essential for IT careers.

• Hands-on industry collaboration: Work directly with leading companies and professionals to gain practical experience and career-ready skills.

• Industry-aligned, research-driven curriculum: Learn through a curriculum co-created by industry leaders and university researchers, preparing you for high-demand IT roles.

Students graduate with a standard diploma while gaining specialized skills in information technology (IT). Students also have expanded opportunities to:
