Our Purpose

The Independence High School Sikh Student association (SSA) represents cultures and traditions. Our goal is to allow Sikh and non-Sikh communities know more about Sikhism and its beliefs. We are here to encourage cultural and the understanding of cultural differences. We plan to have guest speakers and discussions to feel more confident about our identities and heritage. We will be engaging in community service activities like offering tutor help, feeding the hungry, and more. Membership is open to all students, and staff of Independence High School.
