Frequently Asked Questions

What can parents do in ParentVUE?

ParentVUE offers parents the ability to:

  • View district and teacher messages

  • View their child’s daily attendance

  • View their child’s class schedule and course history

  • View their child’s individual assignments and grading information (this feature is relevant for MS and HS students)

  • View their child’s Report Cards within the past year

  • View their child’s Test Score History

  • View their child’s Score Reports for any state, district, or screener assessments their child has taken in the past year

How will parents be notified when new scores and reports are available in ParentVUE?

Scores and reports are not uploaded into ParentVUE in "real time." They are generally available 2-3 weeks after the end of each test administration.

For school year 2021-2022, notification of the availability of assessment scores and reports is provided by each school, via the school’s selected method of communication. Examples include a Principal’s Newsletter, Blackboard Connect messages, text posted to the school website, emails sent by the School Testing Coordinator, etc.

Beginning school year 2022-2023, notification of the availability of assessment scores and reports will be provided through a district-wide Blackboard Connect message, sent from the Public Information Office.

The assessment data in the Test History tab is difficult to understand. Who can help?

The Test History tab has limited functionality and does not allow LCPS to load explanatory text. There is generally a corresponding score report in the Documents tab, which should clarify the data for most parents/guardians. Remaining questions about the data and/or score reports should be addressed to the student’s teacher and/or the School Testing Coordinator.
