My name is Uzma Askari, and I am honored to begin my first year as Rosa Lee Carter's new Principal. My educational journey began in Toronto, Canada. I attended York University earning my Bachelor of Psychology and Bachelor of Education. I earned my Master’s in Education at George Mason University in Curriculum and Instruction with an endorsement in literacy. Additionally, I earned a postgraduate certificate from Shenandoah University in Administration and Leadership
This is my 20th year in education and my 16th year as an educator with LCPS. Before taking the role of principal at Rosa Lee Carter, I was the assistant principal at Seldens Landing, administrative dean at Cardinal Ridge Elementary, and a reading specialist at Potowmack Elementary. In addition to my time in Loudoun County, I have worked as an elementary educator in both Alexandria, Virginia, and Toronto, Ontario. I bring a passion for education to this position and a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning school culture. I look forward to working together to further the school's success and achievements. Together, we will make this a fantastic year! Let’s go Coyotes!
