Social Emotional & Mental Health Resources
Virtual Distance Learning’s student support services staff include Cynthia Fillman, Director of School Counseling, and Brianne Foster, VDL school counselor.
Students' Unified Mental Health Team (UMHT) members including psychologist, social worker, and student assistance specialist staffers are available at home schools. These team members offer mental health services in collaboration with VDL student support, to enhance student social, emotional, and behavioral growth. The team of school-based mental health professionals works with students, families, school staff, and outside providers to promote a positive school environment that supports student success and ability to cope with challenges.
