Greetings Lions!  I am so pleased to let you know I will return to Cedar Lane for the 2023-24 school year and I am so excited to get to make music with you all once again!  I have been teaching in Loudoun County for eleven years now.  Previously, I taught at Banneker and Lincoln Elementary Schools.  I have a Bachelor of Music Education from Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University and a Master of Music: Music Education from George Mason University.  I am also a certified Orff-Schulwerk teacher who is active in the American Orff-Schulwerk Association and the local Music of the Valley chapter, for which I serve as the secretary.

I am primarily a singer, but I absolutely love playing guitar, bass guitar, and my entire recorder collection.  The styles I perform vary widely depending on my mood and include rock, pop, jazz, classical, and even video game music.  My wife and I actively perform as an acoustic duet and I have also recorded music in a rock band while playing bass.  When I sang in choir, we went on two European tours to Italy and France respectively singing in a variety of iconic churches and locations.  Talking about music is pretty much my favorite thing, so feel free to reach out and start a conversation.

Lion Nation Rocks!  I look forward to filling our hearts with music!

I am thrilled to return to Cedar Lane for the 2023-2024 school year! I grew up in Herndon, VA and graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Vocal Performance. I recently completed my master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration through George Washington University. My family and I have lived in the Ashburn Farm community for over 18 years. I previously taught in Fairfax County Public Schools for 14 years, and have taught in Alternative School Programs, elementary music, and middle school choir, musical theatre, and guitar. I am so excited to sing, dance, play, and create with the students at Cedar Lane for another year and I hope the music room will continue to be a joyful and inclusive environment for all!
