Greetings Trailblazers! I am very excited to be part of the Discovery family! I will be the school counselor for Grades 1, 3, & 5 for the year 2023-2024. I did my Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Philosophy from Mumbai University, India. After coming to the US, I completed my Master of Science and Specialist in Education in School Counseling from Florida State University. I also pursued my coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology.
Before entering LCPS, I worked as a Registered Behavior Technician in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. My experience in the field of ABA gave me the privilege of working with kids with special needs. I entered LCPS and worked as a substitute in general education and special education classrooms. This is my first year working as a school counselor and I am very excited to embark on this journey. Through classroom lessons, small group counseling, and individual counseling, I will be helping the students to achieve academic, career, and social emotional wellbeing.
In my free time, I love listening to music, reading, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. I look forward to an amazing year with my trailblazers and making genuine connections with families and staff members of the Discovery family!
