It is with great enthusiasm that I continue my administrative journey as the Principal of Goshen Post Elementary.  As I step into this role, I am filled with optimism for the future of our school. I aim to build on the existing strengths and commitment to foster a learning community through partnership. With continued collaboration, we will build on the strong foundation already in place and continue to strive for excellence.

I am completing my 13th year in education. I have served as an assistant principal in Frederick County Public Schools and previously taught and held leadership positions with DC Prep Public Charter and Loudoun County Public Schools.

My dedication to Goshen Post’s Project Based Learning vision will remain the focus as we continue to ensure authenticity, equity, and empathy remain the center of these learning opportunities. I am truly “Committed to achieving excellence through authentic, rigorous experiences for every child, every day!”

You are welcome to contact me with any questions, concerns, or wonderings. Together, we will have a positive influence in the lives of our students.

It is with great excitement that I will be serving the community as the new Assistant Principal at Goshen Post Elementary School. It is an absolute honor to take on this role, and I look forward to our continued work together.

Throughout the past 6 years, I have been part of the Goshen Post community serving as a classroom teacher in both 2nd and 3rd grade. My time as a teacher at Goshen Post was instrumental in shaping me into the leader I am today. My passion for teaching includes engaging in deeper learning, literacy instruction, and providing students with authentic learning experiences. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Literacy Education from West Virginia University. I also earned a Reading Specialist Certificate and a Post-master’s Certificate in Educational Leadership and Administration from George Washington University. During my time at Goshen Post, I facilitated literacy professional developments for both the staff and county, coordinated summer school, and took on numerous leadership roles. I am committed to remaining at the forefront of educational research and promoting best practices that support students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs. I look forward to continuing to foster positive relationships with staff, students, and families, while ensuring that our gators are achieving excellence through authentic and rigorous learning every day

I am fully committed to providing every student with the opportunity to engage in deeper learning, collaboration, and creativity to establish life-long learners. I am excited for the opportunity to celebrate students’ successes, differences, and interests. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. Let’s make the 2024-2025 school year an unforgettable one!
