Principal
Dear Lincoln Families,
I look forward to working with the Lincoln children, staff, parents, and community during the upcoming school year! Lincoln Elementary is an outstanding school and I am confident that we will work together to continue to celebrate the school’s traditions.
I began my career in education as a fourth grade teacher at Hollywood Elementary School in St. Mary’s County, Maryland. I taught fourth grade for three years and then I taught third and fifth grades at Twinbrook Elementary School in Rockville, Maryland for four years. While teaching at Twinbrook, I completed my Master’s Degree in School Administration from Johns Hopkins University. After teaching in Maryland for seven years, I served as the assistant principal at Sugarland Elementary from 2000-2004. In 2004, I was appointed to the principal position at Hillsboro Elementary School. I have served as the principal at Lincoln Elementary since July 2010.
My wife Brenda is a high school teacher at Heritage High School in Leesburg. We stay busy at home playing with our eleven year old daughter Naylee. I love to read, travel, play sports, and play guitar and piano.
I feel fortunate to work for Loudoun County Public Schools. I know that by working together, we will continue to provide an excellent education for each child at Lincoln Elementary. I appreciate your support and I look forward to the school year!
Sincerely,
Dave Michener
